  § Stephen and Madeleine: Westchester Wedding

 at  { 0 comments }

Stephen and Madeleine had a picture perfect wedding day in Westchester… the weather was great, the Fordham Church where Stephen attended college during his Undergrad was beautiful, the reception venue was beautiful.  I love photographing weddings in Weschester County where I live… and this wedding was even that much more special as both Stephen and Madeleine are friends of my wife and myself.  And having other friends at the wedding made it extra fun to be there capturing fabulous images.

By the way, I have to give a HUGE shout-out to NICOLE TAYLOR for stepping in last minute for this wedding.  She did it on a last minutes notice because someone else backed out last minute.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Check out this HOTTIE!

So much has been going on lately that I haven’t had a chance to post what I am up to. Currently, I am finishing up with some awesome wedding photographs for Stephen and Madeleine who had their wedding in Westchester County. Last weekend, I shot a fabulous Hartford, CT wedding for Adam and Meaghan at the beautiful and elegant Society Room, as well as an intimate wedding in Somers, NY for Anthony and Debbie. Stay tuned for more images.

  § Michelle and Scott / The Coveleigh Club / Westchester

 at  { 7 comments }

Well… here goes, the mother load of photos dropped on the blog like a bomb! Michelle and Scott are awesome… so why shouldn’t their wedding be too?!?!

Michelle got ready at her beach and tennis club, The Coveleigh Club in Rye, NY, which is also where they had their reception.

Dear 2009-2010 Brides, it’s all about the details!!!  Details and pictures of ME!!!!  haha, kidding (sort of)!  For table names, Scott created street signs that looked JUST LIKE street signs in NYC and Michelle wrote little blurbs about why they were important to the two of them.  CUTE!

Have I told you the joke about the bird, the mouse, and the turtle?  Well, it was THIS FUNNY!

The bridesmaids’ dresses were purchased at Bella Bridesmaid in NYC.  The flowers came from House of Flowers in Mamaroneck, NY.

Meet Megan and Adam… you will see them later this fall when they tie the knot at the Society Room in Hartford, CT!  E-Photos coming soon, too!

Yes, that’s a groomsman!  See next photo…

That’s Scott rockin’ out on the drums… he was in a band in for a long time and the drummer in their band was nice enough to let him use his drums for an encore!

Hey look, it’s Mr. Geoff Boka from The Light Mill. Follow him on Twitter –>  http://www.twitter.com/gboka

Here is the freaking awesome band, The Rhythm Shop, that rocked my socks and had me and Julia dancing as we shot.  I think people thought we were crazy, but I personally couldn’t help myself.

Yeah, they were THAT good!!!

Hey, that’s Amy on the right!  She just got married… see more here!!!

Thank you to Michelle and Scott for letting me be a part of your awesome day and trusting me to capture your important memories!  I had a blast spending the day with you and look forward to seeing you at Dos Caminos in the future for more drinks!

  § Amy and Jim Wedding Photos: Revealed!!!

 at  { 4 comments }

Family.

My family means more to me than anything in the world and I have a profound soft spot for people who hold their family tightly as I do my own. Amy and Jim’s love and appreciation for their family shines through, evident by the guests sitting with them at their head table during the reception. They chose to sit with their nieces and nephews instead of a bridal party or other adults… soft spot, NAILED!

Thank you both for having me be a part of your day!

Their priest had one of the best homilies I have ever heard… hands down.  He even tied their wedding invitation into his speech!

I love it when family/guests get right in there with their awesome D-SLR’s!!!

  § Ten Eyck Tuesday Workshop: Photos Revealed

 at  { 8 comments }

On Tuesday I attended a workshop with a great group of photographers headed by Carla Ten Eyck. After a quick meeting in her home studio, she revealed to us her plan for the day. She had arranged for us to photograph ballroom dancers… at the top of a building’s 26th floor penthouse. There were 6 different dancers with bright and colored outfits. After shooting there, we headed outside and walked around Hartford for a while photographing them in the streets, intersections, and even a bus stop. I can’t thank Carla enough for helping me with my own goals and pushing me to become a better photographer.

Here are a few of the photos I captured…

Be prepared for a smack-down of photos!  Justin and Mary Marantz, two of my favorite people, put on an awesome workshop at Chamard Vineyards in Clinton, CT. Joining the group from San Francisco, CA was internationally-known photographer, Gene Higa. The day was filled with insightful information and an afternoon of shooting. I couldn’t have asked for a better day with a better group of photographers.

A huge thank you goes out to Justin and Mary, their crew of helpers and models, Chamard Vineyard, and Gene Higa.

  § Ali and Jim: Wedding Photos!

 at  { 7 comments }

Congratulations to Ali and Jim on their wedding!  I hope you have fun in Belize on your honeymoon.    Here are a few photos from their awesome day in Fairfield.

Jim and Ali called each other in the morning… her face lit up like a kid at Christmas.

3.5 hours later after removing power lines and parking space paint…

Yes, I was a bit freaked out when sand started flying my way.

Ali and Jim’s family portrait on the beach.

Can you guess the dance move and can you guess the movie she was imitating?
