I finished editing my photos from Jamaica last week but didn’t want to throw 400 pictures on the internet, nor print them and spend 200 dollars doing so. Instead, I designed a photobook and sent it out to WHCC to have it turned into a coffee table album. I am in love with their new lay-flat look and use them for my wedding guestbooks.

A few years ago, my father made a solo trip out west to go white water rafting down the Colorado River for 6 days. Well… he’s back at it again as we speak. This year he decided to take the train out to Denver from Albany, NY to meet up with some friends also going on the trip. There are no words that can express the adoration I have for my parents. It’s easy to remember the person making waves (pun intended), but I can’t forget to mention how amazing my stepmother is as well. It takes a kind woman to let her husband go away for multiple days to have some alone time. As much as my own wife hates it, she too will be allowing me leave for 10 days this coming February when I take 20 students on a mini study abroad trip to Spain.
Here are a few photos of my father on his trip the last time he went. (and yes, I “HAD” to edit them)

That’s it, I can’t take it any more! Amawalk, where the Mrs. and I live, is a beautiful middle-class area along with some of the richest of the rich who live in this part of upper Westchester. BUT… you would never know it from the condition of our road. BOOO to the local highway department for letting the road come to this point.
Last fall, a sinkhole in the road formed that you could stick a 6 foot breaker bar into before you touched bottom. Here is the original hole from the fall. (Crazy that it is shaped like a heart, huh?) The town filled in the hole with macadam and the hole is almost back since then since they did nothing to FIX the problem.

Here is the new sinkhole and a few of the other pictures I took this morning of the current road conditions.

The academic school year ended for me as a teacher yesterday and I couldn’t think of too many ways (other than spending the day with my wonderful wife doing all of the fun things she could come up with) than to shoot a wedding on this beautiful day with the (in)famous Tania Sones. Stay tuned for a few pics tomorrow.
I am super psyched to introduce you to the new NoDo Photography website. It’s up now and new images will be coming to the website next week. Check it out now… spend hours (well maybe not hours) perusing through what I have up.
