Yesterday I had the opportunity to shoot an engagement session with Erin and “Packy” in Cold Spring, NY. We walked up and down Main Street and took in the quaintness of the historic town. Afterward, we went to Fahnestock State Park and enjoyed the amwazing weather knowing it would be one of the last times before the harsh winter hits (cross your fingers it doesn’t). As we were leaving, we ran into Erin’s Aunt who just so happened to be passing by and noticed their car.

One of my closest friends growing up has been working very hard to build his business as a potter. His functional ceramics can be found in homes throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. I recently shot some of his work, both in progress and finished for his Web site (which like many of his pots, is in progress…that’s on me to finish) which should be up by the end of the month. If you are interested in seeing more of his work, you can visit his studio in Glens Falls, New York as well as his Web site Thaddeus Powers Art

On a recent trip home, I stopped by the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery to pay respects to my brother. The day was perfect; warm, calm, peaceful. Remember to thank a vet for all they do or did to preserve our way of life.

As many of you are aware, we have a lost photographer on our hands… It has been on all the major news programs (NBD) and in all the news papers (the whall avenue journal).

This weekend the other coaches and I went to Norwood, NY to see two of our runners compete in the New York State Public High School Cross Country Championships. Both Nick and Breeda ran very well despite the 22 degree weather or the 30 mile an hour wind. What a joy it is for me to be able to combine two of my most dear passions (coaching/photography).
