The academic school year ended for me as a teacher yesterday and I couldn’t think of too many ways (other than spending the day with my wonderful wife doing all of the fun things she could come up with) than to shoot a wedding on this beautiful day with the (in)famous Tania Sones. Stay tuned for a few pics tomorrow.

I am super psyched to introduce you to the new NoDo Photography website. It’s up now and new images will be coming to the website next week. Check it out now… spend hours (well maybe not hours) perusing through what I have up.

This is the kind of thing that cracks (most) photographers up… This was the label on an envelope I received today.

Yesterday my wife, her parents and I went to the the Rhinebeck Arts and Crafts Festival and I made the stupid mistake of leaving my camera at home. There aren’t many times I leave it at home that I kick myself, but I did yesterday. If you have the chance to go today, it’s certainly worth the trip. Just be sure to bring your check book because this isn’t your run-of-the-mill fair. The best artists in the Northeast show up with some pretty amazing work! Nature photographers like Jasper James and others were in attendance (that link is for you, Jody!)
After we got home, I made some tasty white bread to go with the maple cream I purchased at the fair.
After the dough is kneaded, time and patience in a warm place is crucial
The secret to perfect baguettes… this pan and a steam bath of boiling water on the rack below the bread.
I reap the fruits of my labor

There hasn’t been much to blog about lately since I have been in over my head with grading. I do have a HUGE surprise coming before Monday that has me really excited… so check back soon for more.
Here is a photo of my sister’s dog, Max, that I took when I went home for Memorial day weekend. He sure is a terror (I mean Terrier). I would have posted this earlier, but I forgot I even took it.

Yesterday, I headed up to Poughkeepsie to shoot Meaghan and Dan’s engagement session before their wedding next month. We started out on the river front, went to the FDR Estate, hopped over to the Vanderbilt Estate, and finished the day with a tasty lunch at the EXTREMELY popular Eveready Diner. I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to be shooting their wedding next month at the Links at Union Vale (and not just because the UBER COOL photographer Megan LaBarbara will be shooting with me)!

A quick update for you blog-o-sphere readers: I have been really busy wrapping up the school year and taking care of some business stuff on the back-end…. sorry for the lack of posts and pictures.

For you Mac users, I found interesting computer program on the Apple website that runs your screensaver as your desktop background. You can set any screensaver including your itunes artwork and any downloaded screensaver. The program is called Wallsaver.
Interested, get yours HERE

I am not usually a boastful guy, but I have to make an exception this once. My wife… is AWESOME! About two weeks ago we went to her friend Steven’s house and I “showed” her how much better BluRay is over a regular DVD. I think I saw a twinkle in her eye, but that might have been the reflection from my eyes in hers. I would like to think it wasn’t the latter, but hey…

Not only that, but she also told her mother, brother and my father what she was getting me so they could coordinate. How awesome is she!!!
My friends will ask the question; “Why didn’t you tell us it was your birthday?” The answer is simple… this year I turn 28. There isn’t much special about 28. I guess I just wanted it to slip quietly into the night.
