“How come you haven’t blogged?” my father said when I called him this morning. Well, I spent 5 hours on Tuesday shoveling dirt for a new trail I am creating for the cross country team that I coach (Teach, Shoot, Coach… I do it all). I spent 7 hours on Wednesday helping my father-in-law split wood for the upcoming winter. Then I spent another 3 hours shoveling on Thursday followed by 4 hours of splitting wood with my father-in-law. Friday, I slept (in great agony btw). On top of it all, I have practice for 2-3 hours a day and husbandly duties to take care of. Like ironing work clothes, preparing lunch and all the other great things a teacher has to do for his wife over the summer when “he has no job.” Not that I am complaining.
So father-o-mine, here is your post and picture of my “accomplishment” as you referred to it.
*Note: This is by no means a complaint post. There is nothing I enjoy more than working with my fathers and taking care of my wife.

Harry and Aliza had their wedding and reception at the new Riverview catering hall a few weeks back. Thank you to Tania Sones for once again having me second shoot with her.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from their day…

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to shoot with Tania Sones again. Jaime and Jose were an amazing couple whose love showed through and through. The reception was held at the Bond, high above Hartford, CT which boasts one of the best views of the city. Here are a few of my favorite ’shopped photos.

(Me) – Hello (insert name), my name is Jacob Bergmeier and my phone number is…
(Apple) – What can I do for you Mr. Bergmeier?
(Me) – I have a problem. Blah blah blah…
(Apple) – Well Mr. Bergmeier, we would like to have the opportunity to make things right. Do you have an iPod Nano?
(Me) – You too.

Diana and I spent Sunday with her family in Long Island enjoying the beautiful day around the pool and eating tasty food. Here are a few images from our fun day…

My mother-in-law who stalks my blog but never comments. Bet I can get one from this incriminating shot.

I am just about to release Meaghan and Dan’s wedding to their friends and family and I found a few more images that Meg shot that I couldn’t leave out of their series. This one really stood out, so I decided to show a before and after.

A few weeks back, I attended a two-day PUG retreat at in Massachusetts and we spoke about creating a list of goals (101) to be completed in less than three years (1001 days).
Goal #52 of my 101 goals in 1001 days is to shoot for 3 new photographers who I admire. Yesterday I had the opportunity to get one step closer to completing that goal by shooting with Robert Norman.
I present Mr. Norman… showing us how brides typically pose with their flowers (nervously/anxiously) when they are photographed before the wedding.
