Today is “PUT UP THE TREE” day and I couldn’t be happier. It’s the first time of the year I get to watch movies like National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, Elf, Home Alone, The Grinch, and other classics. It means the start of Peppermint Mochas from Starbucks and telling my wife the same childhood stories over and over that she has heard every year since we have started dating. It means time with family and time away from work. It means snow, like the feathery white stuff on top of our cars this morning.

This week the school I teach in collected cans and boxes of food for the poor. This awesome can ended up in my box and brought me right back to my childhood. I had to take a picture of it on my macbook at school and share it with you.
Now, if I could only find a bottle of Voltron vitamins, I would be all set!

A while back I had the opportunity to shoot with Jerome Braga of Studio 1923 in Slate Hill, NY at the Catlin Gardens for Crisan and Michael. The gardens behind the venue where Crisan and Michael were married were FILLED TO THE MAX with every type of flower, plant and statue imaginable!!! There were archways, bridges, paths, a pond, and a brook. Challenging to shoot but very pretty to look at.
Thank you again Jerome for having me shoot with you!

I would like to present to you Claudia and Scott! Their storybook wedding was held at the historic Immaculate Conception Basilica in Waterbury with an event-filled reception at the Villa Rosa.
Thank you to Jerome Braga for having me shoot with him once again. Also, a plug needs to be given to SIXPENCE FOR YOUR SHOES who are the best wedding coordinators in CT.

Last night, Diana, and I went to The Blaze in Croton-on-the- Hudson with a few friends. The frigid temperature wasn’t enough to stop us from seeing the 6010 carved pumpkins that adorn the Van Cortland Manor in Westchester County. Next year, I will be going back with the D3 and it’s amazing ISO.
Photographer note: Most of these shots were taken between 1600 and Hi1 at 1.8 and 1/60th of a second.
Happy Halloween!!!
