Last Sunday I spent the day with Megan and Rob touring the Hudson Valley in New York. Their “engagement” / “get to know you” shoot spanned 3 counties, a quaint town full of antique shops, a railroad stop called Breakneck, an overlook of the Hudson River, and a beautiful New York State park.

I spent the morning with Megan and Rob, who are getting married in June, shooting some engagement photos. Here is a quick teaser image… enjoy

Segovia is known for it’s historic aqueduct and beautiful castle that Walt Disney modeled Cinderella’s castle after. It is also home to one of the best cathedrals in Spain.

Priceless view from the top of the castle.

Salamanca is known as one of the premiere places in Spain to go to learn Spanish. I know, you’re probably doing the same thing I did when I first heard that statement. Salamanca is the home to one of the oldest universities in the world, coupled with the 20,000 college students that inhabit the small city, your chances of speaking Spanish are far greater than that of a city like Madrid or Barcelona which are both known well for their tourism. The accent is extremely clear and easy for a novice to the language to understand.
In the distance, the cathedral…

A figurine that I noticed in the window of a shop… the after is nothing like the before.

One of the many covered alleys that leads from the Plaza Mayor

The wall that surrounds the City of Avila. Catholics know this city because of the writings of St. Teresa of Avila.

Most people are have moments where they think pensively when they travel abroad…

Pasear = to stroll… very common for people in Spain to take an afternoon stroll. The same is true in France and Italy.

Now that I’m back in the swing of things, I’m going to be posting more of my images from my trip to Spain. For now I’m going to be holding off posting pictures with the students in them, but there are a few others that I can share with you for now. Our first two days were in Madrid, so I’m going to start with these… enjoy.
