BEYOND EXCITED!!! Meaghan and Adam are getting married this weekend and I am PSYCHED to be spending the day with them… Especially after seeing my friend Carla Ten Eyck’s photos from the Society Room where they will be having their wedding and reception.
So… without further ado, their NYC Engagement Photos!!!
There are certain people in this world who inspire you to be a better person… they refocus you and keep you on the life track you want to head in. For me, there is a short list of about five people… and near the top, Dean Karnazes. When asked by his daughter what Ultra meant, he described it as beyond normal. That’s what the Ultra Marathon Man is, pushing beyond what one would expect the normal human being to be able to do. Among his laundry list of INSANE records, 50 marathons in 50 days in 50 states, 350 miles run without rest, a marathon in 40 below zero in the Antarctic, and a 130 mile Ultra Marathon through the badlands of California in 130 degree heat (which he has won).
Thanks to my brother-in-law Chris, I had the opportunity to meet Dean and speak with him before and after his address to a group of fellow admirers in a Yale auditorium sponsored by the North Face.
Recently I ran a contest with a super awesome giveaway prize to the person who was the 1001 commenter. Even though one person commented on about 15 different blog posts trying to win, it was my good friend Jodee who wrote the winning comment. I was lucky enough to be hooked up by my one of my best friends, Thaddeus Powers, with one of his functional works of art to give to Jodee. Thanks, Thad! And after you leave some comment love on the blog about these superb photos of Thad’s work, be sure to click on the link at the bottom of the post to see more of Thad’s awesome work.
By the way… this is one of Thad’s awesome mugs that I use every day to drink my tasty dark roast coffee!
When baby {insert adorable baby name} Bergmeier arrives, I hope he/she has the captivating eyes that baby Joseph has. No such luck with the gorgeous blonde hair that Joseph has since both Diana and I are dark hair colored people… sorry future baby Bergmeier.
Be prepared, because what you are about to see is… SICK! Not like gross sick, but freaking awesome sick!
Jaimie and John are getting married next June, but we all really wish it would be now… because their wedding is going to rock. I mean, how can anyone who owns a pimped out show car with Lamborghini doors now have an awesome wedding? In all seriousness, I can’t wait for their big day and I thank you both for letting me be such an important part of your lives!
Thanks Ricky, the locations you recommended ROCKED!
Well… here goes, the mother load of photos dropped on the blog like a bomb! Michelle and Scott are awesome… so why shouldn’t their wedding be too?!?!
Michelle got ready at her beach and tennis club, The Coveleigh Club in Rye, NY, which is also where they had their reception.
Dear 2009-2010 Brides, it’s all about the details!!! Details and pictures of ME!!!! haha, kidding (sort of)! For table names, Scott created street signs that looked JUST LIKE street signs in NYC and Michelle wrote little blurbs about why they were important to the two of them. CUTE!
Have I told you the joke about the bird, the mouse, and the turtle? Well, it was THIS FUNNY!
Meet Megan and Adam… you will see them later this fall when they tie the knot at the Society Room in Hartford, CT! E-Photos coming soon, too!
Yes, that’s a groomsman! See next photo…
That’s Scott rockin’ out on the drums… he was in a band in for a long time and the drummer in their band was nice enough to let him use his drums for an encore!
Here is the freaking awesome band, The Rhythm Shop, that rocked my socks and had me and Julia dancing as we shot. I think people thought we were crazy, but I personally couldn’t help myself.
Yeah, they were THAT good!!!
Hey, that’s Amy on the right! She just got married… see more here!!!
Thank you to Michelle and Scott for letting me be a part of your awesome day and trusting me to capture your important memories! I had a blast spending the day with you and look forward to seeing you at Dos Caminos in the future for more drinks!
